Who we are

Red Dirt Harvest was unexpectedly birthed in our hearts from a long road of joy and heartache as the Lord has led us from pastoring to the pasture. Our heart is to share the Good News using good food and we believe that the Lord is blessing a new avenue for us to nourish and be nourished by working together, allowing God to pour out His abundance to bless others.

We are Joshua and Kimila Hershberger along with our three children and our goal is to provide nourishment from soil to soul.

We are a family who strives to live a life of strength and courage in the face of risk, reward, and obedience. Forever grateful for the privilege given to steward God’s blessings while living, loving and dreaming about His kingdom on earth and in heaven.

Our Values

  • Honor God and his creation.

  • Live and learn with a wild and free spirit.

  • Family centered.

  • Provide nourishment from soil to soul.

  • Stewarding with an attitude of gratitude.

The Why

We want to provide food that brings health and joy. God made food to be delicious and to help the body have energy and heal. We raise our animals strictly on fresh pasture, non-GMO feed, fresh air, water, sunshine, and love. We use regenerative farming practices to avoid pesticides, fertilizers, vaccines and antibiotics. These practices involve daily rotation of animals and stewarding the purest of God given resources of the land. This provides the animals with the cleanest living spaces, fresh food and water, and shelter as needed.

Whether you’re on a journey of renewing your health or you’re just hungry for some juicy chicken, we hope you choose us to nourish and encourage you from soil to soul.
